Maureen’s Story

Introduction to Maureen

Maureen manages her own property investment company and invests in art as a hobby. She was going through a divorce when her solicitors introduced her to Edison. After several meetings and being introduced to an existing client for feedback, Maureen decided Edison was the firm she could trust to help achieve her goals and deliver good results.

“Edison are caring, thoughtful and they listen. They treat me as an individual.”

Maureen’s Story

“I undertook due diligence on the other companies that I sought out. I liked the fact that Edison was a ‘young’ company. I trusted them and I felt looked after. They ticked all the boxes.

Other companies told me that I would be living off the money I had for the rest of my life and therefore needed to ensure it lasted. I wanted a company who would do that job, but who were also caring, thoughtful and would listen. Edison treated me as an individual and tailored my investments to me. They gave me peace of mind so that I wasn’t nervous. I knew that they would do a great job, and they have done.

Edison really look after me and they have given me the confidence to start my property business. I said that I’d be satisfied with six houses, but I’ve continued with more as I enjoy it. I’ve also moved into the art world, which is a lovely passion to have, and one of the pieces I bought was displayed in the Guggenheim in New York.

Looking after my own money would be a nightmare, but Edison give me security knowing that I can rely on them. I separate my business money from my personal money, but my personal money gives me confidence that whatever happens in my business life, I’ll be okay.

I now have peace of mind to live my life. I know that my money is in good hands with Edison. This has enabled me to ensure that my daughter is a happy, independent woman, which is my top priority.”
